The next Burwell SWISH! will be on Sunday 8th March 2026
Eleven Repair Cafes completed, and we are making a difference!
February's Repair Cafe was our most successful yet, thanks to our amazing group of multitalented repairers.
69 items were seen, with 49 successfully repaired (that's 71%).
Overall, 6840kg of carbon emissions have been prevented by the 328 successful repairs carried out at the eleven Burwell Repair Cafes.
60% of the items presented to our amazing volunteers have been repaired.
Only 52 of 570 items have been unrepairable!
That is equivalent to the amount of CO2 saved by growing 120 tree seedlings for 10 years, or driving about 30,000km or charging over 360,000 smartphones!
In addition to Repair Cafes, the group has also started running SWISH! community clothes swap events to encourage recycling and reuse of clothing and fabrics. For more information about the next Burwell SWISH! on Sunday 8th March 2026, click here
You can now book a slot to have your broken appliances, bikes, jewellery, clothing assessed and, hopefully, mended at the next Burwell Repair Cafe on Sunday 10th May.
The earlier you book, the more likely we are to be able to see your item.
We are happy to accept more than one item per person - however, please submit a separate form for each repair, as this makes the organisation of the event simpler.
After submitting the form, simply refresh the page to get back to a new blank form.

We will send emails with event details on the Friday before the Repair Cafe (at the latest), but we may also request more information about the item to assist our repairers. Emails will have 'Burwell Repair Cafe' in the subject field, so please check your junk folder.
If you make a booking, please record the date of the Repair Cafe (01/02/2026) in your diary or calendar.
Any questions: don't hesitate to email us at BurwellRepairCafe@gmail.com
Please look on our FAQ page for more information about what we do, the items that can be brought for repair, and how you can help.
Please read our Terms and Conditions before booking your repair.
If you think that you might be able to use your knowledge and skills to support our team of dedicated repairers, please let us know.
If you can't make it on that day, there are additional Repair Cafes being run in the Cambridge area. Details can be found on the Cambridge Carbon Footprint website - scroll down past the FAQs.
